Canada Lookup Request / Looking for Sherwood Avery
« on: Wednesday 24 February 16 00:50 GMT (UK)  »
I am looking for information on Sherwood AVERY who was born some time around 1750 in New York. He appears in Leeds & Lansdowne census records in 1807 with his wife Rachel (unknown) It's not know if they married in the US or if they married here in Canada. I have not been able to locate a marriage record. Children from this marriage are thought to be: Bernard, Mary, Nehemiah, Delilah "Dilla", Alexander, Jesse, Parlina, Elizabeth & Ebenezer. However, I have been finding it difficult to find baptismal records for these children. He disappears from the census records in 1813, so it is generally believed that he died some time before the census, but I have not been able to locate burial information.

Charlotte King was christened 03 Apr 1766 in Hutton-Cranswick to William King and Ann Thornton. However, after her birth records, she disappears.

Can someone do a lookup for the marriage record for Charlotte King and Henry Parkins in Saint Mary, Kingston Upon Hull, York, England on 8 May 1788 to see if her father is listed.

There is also a burial record in Lowthorpe, Yorkshire (East Riding), England in 1787.

Francis JEFFERSON was born sometime around 1745. I know he was married July 7, 1764 to Jane BOND in Bainton, Yorkshire. Can someone do a lookup to see who/what is listed on the marriage transcript? I am trying to determine Francis' birth records to determine his parentage. I'm hoping his marriage record helps.

Known children from this marriage are:  Ann (Jefferson) Walker, Thomas Jefferson, Francis Jefferson, Richard Jefferson and Jane Jefferson.

Yorkshire (East Riding & York) Lookup Requests / John/Mary JEFFERSON in Bridlingon
« on: Saturday 30 January 16 14:43 GMT (UK)  »
Can someone do a look-up for John JEFFERSON who was buried in Bempton in 1803? According to Genuki he was from Bridlington. There is also a record of Mary, also buried in Bempton, in 1804.

I am thinking that this couple is the parents of Jane JEFFERSON mentioned in an earlier post.

Looking for the parentage/ burial records for William Mills who lived in Guisborough. He married Mary Calvert on October 1, 1821 and Mary Cook on  June 25, 1835. Online family trees suggest that his parents were William Mills and Ann Harding, but I am looking for sourced records to support this.

I am looking for information on William Hope (b:1801) and Jane Jefferson and any possible children. An earlier post suggested that William and Jane were married in 1820 in Bridlington, Yorkshire, England.

According to me records (http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Hope-1025) Thomas Hope (b:1826, Sledmere?) may be a son of this marriage. I have also located a file in the DRIFFIELD POOR LAW UNION RECORDS: Register of deaths (PUD/3/1/3/1 page 6) that there is an inmate, William Hope, who is reported to have died 20 Sep 1873, age 52, buried in Great Driffield, Driffield Cemetery. This would place his birth some time around 1821.
