Hi - Just seen your reply and hope we are looking at the same couple.  They were my great grand- parents on my mother's side.  They came from Co Monaghan to Glasgow where they had five children, three surviving to adulthood.  Both James and Fanny died in Scotland.  If you can provide me with your link, perhaps I can help more as I have Scottish certificates.  If not, it was good to talk to you.

I have been doing family research and looking into the history of William Taylor and Jane Payne. I've only just come across this conversation and see you were researching them too.
