Glamorganshire Lookup Requests / Trealaw Photo/Transcript request
« on: Friday 26 October 12 23:16 BST (UK)  »
I have recently found some information on a plot at Trealaw Cemetery which I am trying to confirm/eliminate a connection to my family.

GWEN GRIFFITHS GRAVE T129 DIED IN 1924

I was wondering whether anyone had transcripts of headstones or even photographs of same.

Many thanks in advance,

Paula

I have started a couple of groups on FB on other family lines and by combining our information have had alot of success in filling gaps and gathering information and photos.

If anyone is related to these families, please come and join us so we can correspond together https://www.facebook.com/groups/110219635793734/

Cheers,
Paula

Hi Janne,

Yes I saw that connection, even though Ive managed to find more researchers in the same family, no-one has been able to make the connection - I think we will have to see if we can get someone on the ground to look in local records etc.  Every few months or so I have another look and see what I can find but always hit a brick wall as I can only rely on online records.

Cheers,
Paula

Hello everyone - it has been some time since I was looking at this branch of my family and when a conversation over the weekend focused on William Bennett and Anne Rennie I thought I must log on a check the progress.

It still seems so many of us are trying to connect the dots between William and his family.  Something very interesting my aunt mentioned to me, was that her husband at some time started searching for Anne through a similar name of Reaney/Rainey as this was apparently a name also in Tandragee and Cargans and could possibly be the connection we are looking for.

It is possible that someone has information on these names and can see whether it is possible that there was a transcript error for Annes surname.

Has anyone else had any success within this line of the family?  Would love to hear.

Warm regards,
Paula

Hi Sue,
I know how great it can be when you stubmle on a heap of information!

As to date we have not had that connection with Tandragee, however from information from our earliest arrivals, mention that they are related, it's just making that connection.

I do have alot on William and Jane, but if you would like to email it to me directly I can check what may be missing and vice versa.

Wishing you all the best in your continued search.

Cheers,
Paula

Hi Karen,

Many thanks for your help - it can be quite difficult being this far away in Australia sometimes.

Again, thankyou

Paula

Hi Karen,

Thankyou for the information, can you please advise which book you are referring from.  Also does it mentioned that Edward and John were brothers?

Many thanks for your help.

Paula

Hi Lloyd,

Great work, I have sent you a message offline, I am just trying to establish which of "our George" this is.  Any photos you have will be great to see.  As you may know I am stuck on William Bennett and his wife Anne Rennie.

Looking forward to bridging the gap!
