Information from my friend.
Alternative spelling to DERING AND DEARING spelling was not really established until about 1900. My Derings originate in Kent. G-G-Grandfather George Witherden Dering 1847 came from Woolwich, his Grandfather Robert was at Surrenden nr. Pluckley. George & many of his descendents were associated with dockyards.
Robert (M) Mary marshall, son Henry (M) Ann Cary Elgar, George Witherden (M) Julia Elizabeth Bister, Charles William (M) Mary Ann Dayner

I have an ancestor Edith Marshall (M) to Ernest Bosshardt 1907 Lewisham South East London. In 1911 census he states he was (B) Grenchen Switzerland age 31years (B1879) Is it possible to find more details about his family? Did the family return to Switzerland?
