Cork / Skibbereen / Aughadown - Ellen Fitzgerald. born c1834.
« on: Friday 01 January 16 14:53 GMT (UK)  »
Hi team

I'm looking for Ellen Fitzgerald who says she's from Skibbereen and born circa 1834.  Her father is supposedly James Fitzgerald, mother unknown.  Ellen arrived in Melbourne in 1850 as one of the Irish Orphan program.  She was possibly in the Skibbereen Workhouse prior to leaving Ireland.  It has been mentioned to me recently that she was actually from Aughadown.

Any baptisms, parents name, etc, would be amazing!

Regards, bitzar...

Devon Lookup Requests / Sarah SINCLAIR and parents Peter SINCLAIR and Elizabeth Ann HOOPER
« on: Wednesday 30 December 15 12:28 GMT (UK)  »
Hi team

I'm looking for birth/baptism of Sarah Sinclair born c1802-1806, death cert reads born Devonport, so who knows because 1841 census in Illogan, Cornwall states born Cornwall.  She's left for South Australia by the late 1840's so no luck with the 1851.  Her parents Peter Sinclair and Elizabeth Ann Hooper were married at Stoke Damerel in 1797.  Her father supposedly being a Naval Officer.  I cant find her parents anywhere either.

Anything clues would be great, with her parents too.

Cheers, bitzar.

Nottinghamshire / SHAW of Worksop
« on: Tuesday 17 November 15 14:38 GMT (UK)  »
Hi... Anyone with a connection to SHAW in Worksop?!  Family were mostly Tinsmiths, Silversmiths, Whitesmiths, and Ironmongers in Bridge Street, early to mid 1800's.  I would say there would still be family in Worksop.

Dunbartonshire / Auld Aisle Cemetery Lookup
« on: Sunday 15 November 15 11:41 GMT (UK)  »
Helloooooooo.  Is anyone able to do an Auld Aisle cemetery record lookup, not sure if its even possible actually.  I'm looking for William ROBERT or ROBERTS died at Gartshore, Kirkintilloch 31 Jan 1887 aged 93.  Also his wife Margaret ROBERT or ROBERTS ms GREENHORN died between 1836 - 1841.  If this is an easy task, I'd be interested to know if there are many ROBERTS' buried there.

Regards,
Steven Roberts.

Lanarkshire / Agnes LANG bc.1816- daughter of James LANG and Agnes SINCLAIR
« on: Friday 13 November 15 00:44 GMT (UK)  »
Hi... I'm looking for a birth/baptism of Agnes LANG bc.1816 in either Cadder, Monkland, or Chryston depending in which years census you look at.  Her death certificate in 1886 reads father James LANG, farmer deceased, and mother Agnes SINCLAIR.  Members on ancestry have James LANG 1780-1872 and Agnes SINCLAIR 1781-1877 but I cant find any deaths for them in those years!
Any thoughts.

« on: Thursday 05 November 15 09:20 GMT (UK)  »
Hi.  I've searched and searched and cant find this one.  I'm looking for this family on the 1841 census for Somerset.

STONE, James (Husband)
STONE, Jane (Wife) - about 30.  Born Wells, Somerset.

STONE, Henry (son) - aged 4 born Bath, somerset.
STONE, James (son) - aged 3 born somerset.  christened Bedminster.
STONE, Mary Jane or Jane (daughter) - aged under 1 born somerset.  christened Bedminster.

I'm convinced STONE has been transcribed wrongly.  There could older older children.

Family History Beginners Board / FRY family of Somerset.
« on: Tuesday 03 November 15 11:30 GMT (UK)  »
I have at least 3 siblings - William FRY married Sarah, Peter FRY bc 1783 at Wells Somerset, and John FRY married to Jane.  I don't know their parents.
William and Sarah had a large number of children - John, Elizabeth, Samuel, Sarah, Peter, Stephen, Rachel, Joanna, and Joanna.  Sibling Peter seems was a Batchelor, and sibling John and Jane had issue - George, Henry, Frederick, and Jane.
I know the author Plantagenet Somerset FRY is from this family but does anyone belong?!
Regards, Steven- Melbourne, Australia.
