Sorry everyone for the delay.
I have just obtained a copy of the certificate from my sister who has the original.

Joseph Benson's parents George & Mary (née hair).
Mary shown as deceased; George listed as farmer.
He lived at time of marriage (2 Jan 1882) at 33 Crawford St Glasgow.
Witnesses were John Maxwell & Esther Maxwell, presumably elder brother & either Mother or younger sister of Margaret.

Margaret was born in 1857, in Glasgow.

By 1891 Joseph & Margaret & young family were in Brisbane (Australia).

Hello everyone.

I am seeking information about a Joseph Benson, in particular where he was born.
I thought the 1881 census might help.
When married in Glasgow in 1882, he was listed as being 26, occupation sawyer.

There is nothing on George's.
He died in 1860, before colonial authorities were recording such details.
I still haven't established the time & place of Ann's death.

I am seeking information about GEORGE SHEA and ANN KELLETT.
They were each born about 1822 and apparently married just before leaving for Australia in 1842.
We suspect they came from Offaly County - but are unsure.
Does anyone have any knowledge or suggestions?

Still haven't progressed with those particular Butters, though there are plenty of Butters in & around Westminster at the time.
I just cannot find any records with a Neal (or Neil) Butters.

However, I have found Frances' parents:
William Guy & Frances née Mound

Many thanks.
That is a step further to work with.

Elder Neal was a sailor, younger a printer.

Yes, he was simply "of full age".
