There's a birth for an Anne Johnston in 1904 on the Malta family history website www.maltafamilyhistory.com - next to the entry is says ASC C&T Corps.

There's an entry in the Death Duty Registers in 1877 - National Archives ref IR27/402. Someone cleverer than me might be able to confirm if this means he left a will - might be some interesting detail re his family in it :)

gives Forster's POB as Barbados??? and calls him Captain - might be worth getting in touch with the treeowner?

I'd also be tempted to get a copy of Forster's will, could give you all sorts of clues :)

There are baptisms for children of Forster & Newland on the familysearch site - do you have those?

Also what looks like baptisms for their son Forster & his wife.
