I would think she came from Dorset as they usually married in the bride's parish I think.

Marriage in Charlton Marshall, Dorset 09/03/1800 between Newland Martin and Forster Maynard. Forster is of Marylebone, Middlesex parish. Married by licence. Witnesses "Thos Horlock Bastard and Mary Raines".

There's a baptism in the England Baptisms for a Forster Maynard born 1803 in Romsey, Hampshire, son of "Esqr Forster" and wife Newland.

He's mentioned on the New Zealand Newspapers website Papers Past - he was wounded and it mentions his father Mr C Flute of Newport Pagnell.

Not many clues in the transcripts either. John's occupation is labourer, maybe they moved for work?

Two possible siblings born to James and Ann in Hayes: -

Sarah baptised 25/08/1811
Mary baptised 07/07/1816

There's a baptism 17/10/1813 in the Middlesex Baptisms James, son of James (labourer) & Ann in Hayes, Middlesex  :)

The 1896 baptism entry for Sapphire Holland doesn't have a father's name, just that of the mother Mary Ann Holland.

Have you tried looking for a marriage for a Mary Ann Holland - perhaps she married and Sapphire took her step-father's name?
