Hampshire & IOW Completed Lookup Requests / 1861 Census - Deboyne COMPLETED tks
« on: Monday 08 March 10 09:50 GMT (UK)  »
I'm trying to find the Deboyne family in IOW (Ryde/Newchurch) in the 1861 census.

I have RG 09, Piece 657, Folio 75 Page 23 showing John & Emma Deboyne with son Francis (aged 4). They are on the end of the page and young Emma Deboyne (born Dec Qtr 1858) should be on the next page and maybe other siblings.

I cant call up the following page to see if Emma etc. is there  ???

Can anyone have a try and see if they could see if Emma is actually with her parents please.

Thank you
Ozi

Technical Help / PDF File Question - Completed Thank you
« on: Saturday 12 September 09 23:23 BST (UK)  »
Hi Folks,

I have been sent a lovely family tree in PDG file format.

I would like to be able to add to it or amend as necessary but can't work out how to do this.

Can I edit a PDF File?
OR Can I cut/paste to a Word Doc AND SAVE THE ORIGINAL FORMATTING?
OR Can I import/copy/transfer it to a new FTM file?

Any suggestions or ideas would be most welcome.

Thank you

Ozi...

I think this is Lucy - picture possibly taken in
about 1885 (I hope)

Could she be cleaned and a little colour
added please

It looks like there's a coffee cup or photo frame
stain near the top.

Thank you

Technical Help / Error message with Jessops Photobook
« on: Saturday 15 November 08 10:07 GMT (UK)  »
Hi,

I saw some samples of Jessops Photobooks on RootsChat so thought I'd try it out.
I have just spent 3.5 hours downloading (on slowspeed dialup  ::) ) the Jessops Photobook program.

All looked OK with the download but when I select the icon I have the following message:

"C:\Program Files\jessops\JESSOPS\JESSOPS.exe

This application failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling may fix this problem."

I don't really want to spend another 3+hours downloading again and would love to know if there may be another way around this little "challenge"

I have tried the usual Reboot, turnoff and pray hard but no luck  :(

Any hints/tips/guidance would be very much appreciated

Thank you

« on: Monday 15 September 08 12:20 BST (UK)  »

Does anyone know where any Baptist churches were in London around the St George in the East area in the late 1700's please.

I have a rellie who was married at St G /East and I know the family were Baptist but I can't find out exactly where their church may have been.

Any ideas would be most welcome

Thank you

Everyone was so helpful after my last photo post, I think that you may be able to also help me with this one.

I think this photo was taken in about 1866 - would that sound about the right date according to the dress and style?

A bit of a clean and colour would also be very much appreciated.

Thank you
ozigal
