Robert Henry Wood age 23 Corporal Royal Artillery, 82 Sherbrooke Rd Fulham to Josephine Ladd age 21 she at same address.
Sherbrooke Road has come up before!
I think William must have had his wife with him in Ceylon. Where did Helen (wife 1) die?

The one puzzling factor, if William G Wood was serving in Ceylon where Robert and Helen were born, did serving officers take their wives with them?

This site for Ceylon seems to be inviting questions. I cannot see any baptisms for the English in Colombo. Only Dutch. Maybe the above will know.

« on: Thursday 26 December 19 23:28 GMT (UK) »Findmypast has some records in the British Armed Forces And Overseas Births And Baptisms for a William Wood in Ceylon but I don't have a subscription so can't see if the images give any more information than the transcriptionsHis father William may not have been in the Armed Forces, he may of been a diplomat or employed by the British Gov. Not to sure about the British involvement in Ceylon.

However there may be or not copies of the of those books in England unless you want to buy them. The only copies available that I know of are in the Main Gen Library in Salt Lake City. I am good at Ceylon Research but other than my own extended family do not know any other researchers. Its Christmas day and I am off to an invitation for dinner.
