Thank you KGarrad, I did see that FindMyPast has the records I want but I have not got a sub, just wondered if they are available any where else.

I was wondering about his wife being in Ceylon.13 Feb 1899 All Saints Church Fulham
Robert Henry Wood age 23 Corporal Royal Artillery, 82 Sherbrooke Rd Fulham to Josephine Ladd age 21 she at same address.
Sherbrooke Road has come up before!
I think William must have had his wife with him in Ceylon. Where did Helen (wife 1) die?
https://www.kabristanbookshop.com/contact/Messaged The Kabristan Archives and they don't have Robert Henry Wood in their data base.
This site for Ceylon seems to be inviting questions. I cannot see any baptisms for the English in Colombo. Only Dutch. Maybe the above will know.
Findmypast has some records in the British Armed Forces And Overseas Births And Baptisms for a William Wood in Ceylon but I don't have a subscription so can't see if the images give any more information than the transcriptionsHis father William may not have been in the Armed Forces, he may of been a diplomat or employed by the British Gov. Not to sure about the British involvement in Ceylon.
London, England, Church of England Marriages and Banns, 1754-19Thanks for that, I had the marriage but no details, something to go on. Josephine was born in New York but I found all her details.

Ceylon does have good records. One of the best countries in the British Empire. As far as I am concerned better than India. However there may be or not copies of the of those books in England unless you want to buy them. The only copies available that I know of are in the Main Gen Library in Salt Lake City. I am good at Ceylon Research but other than my own extended family do not know any other researchers. Its Christmas day and I am off to an invitation for dinner. Will keep in touch.Thank you, enjoy you Christmas dinner.
