Family History Beginners Board / David Polhill Greene

Hello.
I am trying to find some information on my 4xgreat grandfather, David Polhill Greene, who died in 1854 aged about 70 and was born in Sevenoaks, Kent. He lived latterly in London.
I believe there may be a connection with Oliver Cromwell's family through Cromwell's granddaughter, Elizabeth Ireton, who married Thomas Polhill in about 1674.
The name pops up with DP Greene's great-great-grandson, Alfred Polhill Greene 1881-1970, and may also be part of HIS son's name - John Alfred P Greene 1908-1991.
I wonder if this is suggesting that Polhill was of significance historically in the Greene family rather than just a family tradition?
Any information would be gratefully received.
