Ireland Resources / Recommendations for in-person sources of info?
« on: Tuesday 30 October 18 03:46 GMT (UK) »
Hi all
I am researching family links who lived in different parts of Ireland: Tramore and Waterford city, Enniscorthy, Limerick city and Coleraine. I've spent quite a bit of time over the years researching online, through ancestry.com, findmypast.com, familysearch.org, irishgenealogy.ie, proni and groni, nationalarchives.ie and even Dr Google, with some good results and some continuing family history mysteries.
However, there is always more in archives and libraries than you can see online, so next year I'm going to Ireland for the first time to see what else I can find out in person.
Can anyone suggest repositories besides the national archives that would be useful to visit? I'd like to have a plan to make good use of limited time.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
