Thanks all...I can't see him emigrating..re married!!..our thoughts are he was a bigamist in the marriage of my family member..also he played the game of Hide and Seek very very well.. been thinking DNA may be the answer.

AUSTRALIA.....
as this Grandfather of a family member of mine "may still be living" I can't note his name and would rather not say the surname too. when he married the Grandmother it very much looks like he's used a family members name, I have him on the marr/certificate as well as Elect Rolls..he then vanishes into thin air.
I can't find a death under the name he was using or the name we "think was his birth name"
Any idea's please..would be most welcomed.

As they are not mine..I have emailed of a whole lot of questions to the person..so I'm now awaiting on a reply from them.

So sad not knowing so close..most of us have a least a few generations to go on with

I so need some help here, I'm helping someone who know nothing of his Grandfather [ his Mother still living also knows nothing of her father who died when she was a small child ] 2 children that we know of was born in Kirkee Bombay [ 1922..1925 ] his mother is still living.
How would one go to get birth certificates please for these 2 people.

There was no welfare for help back then...many remarried quite quick..some one had to care for the children

Hello all,

I have found a relative who in 1901 who was a Corporation Sweeper..can any one -please be able to explain what this was..I have googled and keep coming up with Taxes.
