I wonder if anyone would be so kind as to work some magic on this pic of my great aunt Lillian.  She had medium brown hair, and hazel eyes.  I'm not sure about the colour of the dress :)

Technical Help / Re: Trojan virus. Spotting the disease and medicine?

Hi there, first I would say that a good, up to date, anti virus protection should be uppermost in your mind.

Second, as an additional you could use an online scanner such as Trend Housecall: http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

Third, practice safe hex:

don't download unless you know its safe
double check executable files that friends send
ban the kids from the pc (they tend to click on 'download your free virus here')

The Lighter Side / Re: What have I got myself into????
« on: Thursday 26 January 06 21:24 GMT (UK)  »
Hi there and welcome :)

I've not been into this for long, I tried tracing my mum's family tree a couple of years ago, but didn't really know the ropes, and stopped at what you might call scrapbooking (pics of her old school, the tenement her parents' lived when she was born etc)

This time, I am creating my dad's birthday pressie, a kind of family history scrapbook.  Trouble is, nobody remembers anything, and both sides of my dad's are from overseas.  Still, I have a 28 page scrapbook already, and I just know he will cry :)

What I have found most amazing, are the photo restorations, particularly by Kizmiaz - astonishing!

;D I've done loads that I wouldn't dare post, but sometimes its helpful to laugh at one's self, and know that others have had a giggle too!  I tried the baby one earlier, but unfortunately deleted it before you could roll on the floor laughing ;D

So............. post here! (I will!!!)
