Looking for family of Jack Skelton who emigrated to South Africa. He married Mary Knight in the Uk in 1936. Jack would have been born in about 1910. The 1911 census shows he had a brother Frank, Arthur, Harry and a sister Jessie.

We have no idea what happened to any of his family. I am married to the granddaughter of Jack Skelton. Jack and Mary Skelton only had one child, Joy Francis (born in the UK in 1937) who married Brian Beck in South Africa.

Eventually found some more onfo on the Rev George Hay. He and his wife (Elizabeth Thompson) had 4 children. His son John died in India.
I have then the names of his 4 children (John, Margaret (my gg grandmother),Fanny and Sarah).

George Hay was one of 20 children (inculding stillbirths) and was one of 4 who made it into adulthood.
If anybody has any further info on the Hay family it would be much appreciated.

Thank you for all the info, the George Hay who married Margaret Thompson is the son of Rev George Hay. Rev Peter Dale my gg grandfather (and son in law of Rev George Hay) was the one minister who conducted the marriage ceremony.

My ggg grandmother was Janet Walker and was married to my ggg grandfather John Dale. Janet i believe was born in 1771. Do you perhaps have any information of her. Unfortunately i have no further info except she died in Bathgate in 1843. Peter Dale (Rev) was one of her sons.

my ggg grandfather John Dale married a Janet Walker (early 1800's). Janet died in 1843 in Bathgate and was born about 1771. They all lived in the Torpichen, West Lothian area ( i live in South Africa so have no idea of the area).

John and Janet had 2 sons, Willam and Peter (became a Rev later and died 1856). As the name Peter is not comon in their family i am hoping that the name Peter comes from the Walker family. Is anyone aware of a Janet Walker from the Bathgate area.
