Glamorganshire / Re: jones family from cadoxton, neath

I'm new to all this but its only a thought, have you tried looking in the Carmarthenshire area for their marriage rather than Neath? Carmarthen isn't one of Neath's neighbouring towns so they may well have moved to Neath together after their marriage.  Seeing as its specifically mentioned he's a Baptist minister then the records for Baptist chapels in Carmarthenshire might turn something up?

One odd thing is that in the 1861 info you have he's a grocer/draper but the info that Andy has found shows him as a baptist minister on the 1851 and the 1871.  Did he give up the ministry inbetween? did he have a side-line as a bit of an Arkwright ? :) Or are they two different families?

Glamorganshire / Jenkins family Pontardawe

Do any of these people crop up on your family tree or do you have any information on them?

Thomas Jenkins (1894, Pontardawe) married Olwen Morgans (1895, Pontardawe)

Griffith Jenkins (1865 Llangyfelach/Cwmbwrla) married Margaret Jones (1865, Gellinudd)

Thomas Jenkins (1835, Llangiwg) married Ann ? (1845, Cilybebyll)

Griffith Jenkins (1806, Llangiwg) married Ann Williams (1811, Bettws) - I have some information on Ann Williams family tracing her back to Blaenllynant Farm, Carms.

Evan Jenkins (1782, Llangyfelach) married Hesther/Ester Evans (dob n.k.)

Thomas Jenkins (1754) married Elizabeth ? (1758)

Parents of the above mentioned Thomas Jenkins (1754) have DOBs  - Father 1722, Mother 1726, married 1753.

If anyone can help on any of these people I would be really grateful, or if you are related to any of them and can give me details on any living relatives that would also be extremely helpfull.

Wales / Re: WILLIAM BARTLETT PRESTBURY GLOUCESTERSHIRE ENGLAND

not exactly what you are looking for but I found an entry on the 1851 for John Bartlett b 1824, Amesbury glos, his wife Mary b 1820 in Neath and their daughter Mary Ann b 1847 in Neath.

The address was Cwm Clydach, Skewen, Neath.

Maybe this can point you in the right direction.

I live in Neath and my sister is married to a Bartlett but as far as I'm aware he doesnt know much of his family history - although I will ask him if he is aware of a Glos connection :)
