Hi just got home from work,  I am   very  sorry about your name ,   its funny I had a Mr Haywood  at school  when I was little.   Any way I very much appreciated all the work you are  doing  for me . I certainly  didn't  realize  the magnitude of the names and places in Ireland   .It is so interesting , well I can understand why they shortened  their name to Gaghen . I wonder if I got copies of the children birth certificate  they might have If Thomas had a second  name  or his place of birth . Yes I know I am clutching  at straws but then I know we have done our very best and I know they came from some in Galway Ireland  , my daughter and family live in Cork  hope to catch up with her later this year .
If you have any other thought s or ideas  love to hear  them Cheers Gail😀😁😀😁

Hi only what  we thought of,   if she was born on the ship there is no record and if the Ann you found . But how did she get to Adelaide  With the Ann you found did she Pass away in Ireland  ?  These are only guess  . With the records how can we find out about the witness  were they brother  or sisters. How did you know Margaret was from Galway I did not know that  so I still have  learnt something   How do you do this sorting through everything  it is amazing.  Cheers :Gail :) :) :) :) :)

Hi had a computer glich wrote a letter and lost it so here we go again.I found the letter sent to me from Roma Holman. 14-2-1996 yep this is how long I have been at this ( in those days I wrote lots of letters )  Roma was the granddaughter of Julia 3RD  child of Thomas. When they were in Ireland they looked for Thomas and Margaret birth certificate
But they realized that a lot were distroyed in1916     distroyed  1820-1860 papers in Dublin
Roma did not know which Parish  Church in Galway and in those days the Churches did not release  any records. Also she thought that their daughter Ann was born on the ship
I have Anns was married  on the 4th  Feb 1877 to Hugo  Delacy . Thomas and Margaret are buried  in Adelaide  west  terrace in tbe Catholic  section
Thomas died 30th 1890 Margaret 1834.well that all I have again thank you for your time and effort Cheers Gail :) :) :) :)

WOW THANK YOU SO MUCH   I really appreciate everything you are doing . can we try and  find out with the Kilmacduah Galway parish  records dates  maybe brothers ? Are the names on the right hand side where they were living?  But the best is Thomas a and Margaret marriage certificate .  Where is Enniskerry parish Wicklow .If the child Ann was theirs would should be an the ships records . I am trying to read the witness on the certificate  I think I need stronger glasses  ha ha .Again thank you so much  I am so excited .I am sure everyone feels the same like  finding  where it al began . :) ;) :) ; ; ;) :)
