Family History Beginners Board / Jeremy Family registered in Wales?!
« on: Sunday 17 June 18 23:14 BST (UK)  »
Hello all!
I was wondering if anyone on here at all could help me? (I've seen how amazing you guys can be with research, so I've got my fingers and toes crossed!)
I've been researching my family tree for over two years now, with only my maternal grandmother's side to go. The only information I have about that side of the family is her maiden name which is Jeremy, born 28th June 1938, registered in Cardiff and the mother's name is also listed as Jeremy (which I haven't come across in any other family history research). I think my grandmother also possibly has two brothers, as they are both born to a Jeremy, registered in Cardiff and are born not too long after her. The family may have also lived in Gloucestershire at some point too?
I've hit a brick wall with all of this, as they're isn't anyone I can physically ask anymore that would be able to help with all this, so this is possobly one of my last hopes to know more!
If anyone has ANY help, it would be so greatly appreciated! Thank you :)

So the older brother B was born in 1941, and there WAS a younger brother! I knew of the older one as that was the one I had met when I was really little, but knew no more than I posted earlier... Thankyou ever so much again for the information avm228!

Hello avm228! Thankyou for your reply. Sorry about the names, just thought it might help with the search! I'll modify them in a moment.
I have found a Ronald V Shelton before, but really wasn't quite sure if he was anything to do with me as I have no one to ask if that's right!
Thankyou ever so much for your information! :)

Hello all, I was wondering if anyone could help me please? (As I know you are all amazing at finding things! And please forgive me if I get anything wrong, very new to all of this still!)
I have found out all about my paternal father's side (all Romany Loveridges and Parkers) which has been fascinating to explore, but it made me realise that I actually haven't got a clue about my dad's mother's side of the family!
(Just a quick add, my grandmother is still alive, but due to circumstances from when I was younger, I have nothing to do with her at all, or any of her family. I am purely interested in the family history!)

This is the only information I have on the Sheltons, as I know the more info to start with the better!) ...
My grandmother's maiden name is J C Shelton, bn 1940's. Her mother's name was Kathleen Shelton (maiden name Gardner), who died in 1971 and her ashes are placed in Dunstable Cemetery, Bedfordshire. I have no idea about her father whatsoever, as he is not placed with the mother. J had at least one brother, the one I know of is B Shelton, married to R and they lived in Lincolnshire but not sure if that's where J or the rest of the family originally came from? J married William Mead in Luton, Bedfordshire in September 1960's and had five children, one of which is my dad. (Grandad William died in 1998)

Thankyou ever so much for reading! And thankyou on advance if you can help, I'd be ever so grateful! It's been a nightmare to try and find anything!! :)

Haha, hello! 😍😍
That's amazing, thank you ever so much for replying to me! Will send you an email now! And your mum is the infamous Betty? (I only say infamous as my dad doesn't seem to know anything much about the sisters, especially her!)
Thankyou again for getting in touch, I'm so excited! Xx
