Buckinghamshire Lookup Requests / Re: Letitia (Alice) smith

Naming patterns if followed

First daughter Ann -- usually named for wife's mother, however John Wright's mother is also Ann!

second daughter Eleanor (aka Helen) usually named for his mother.
The 2 sons Adam and Peter are not named for him or his father, have you traced John Wright's family, are these the names in previous generations.

Do you have the newspaper clipping -3 May 1834 Northampton Mercury.
The three children of John Wright of Sulgrave were buried in one grave , they had been ill with some sickness for one or two days.

(Ann age 8, Adam age 4, Peter age 2 all buried 14 April 1834)

The name Ann meant a lot to them as on 25 December 1934 another daughter named Ann.
i had the three children dying in the same year and often wondered if they all had same illness no I don’t have paper clipping of that but thank you for the info. Iv looked at a John smith prob the wedding witness think he married a silence some one. Johns family tree iv done some work on but not a great deal.

Buckinghamshire Lookup Requests / Letitia (Alice) smith
« on: Saturday 01 October 22 12:54 BST (UK)  »
My fourth great grandmother letitia smith claimed on census to have been born in stoney Stratford bucks trees on ancestry give dates either 1805 or 1811
She married in sulgrave Northamptonshire first to a John wright then to a John Tanner I have the info on these marriages and the subsequent children. What I can’t find is any birth or baptism for letitia. There is no fathers name on either marriage paper work. On one census she uses name Alice. I wondered if some one would be kind enough to see if they can find anything. Iv tried and Just can’t. Thank you.

I have a dna match to some one in Australia had menty (Jasmin) loveridge
Married to John Buckley had a son Perrin Buckley married Elizabeth Harris in his tree
In my limited experience trying to trace Romany ancestors the changing of names is frustrating as I’m sure it was meant to be. A have a few loveridge related matches and they all lead bk to the name smith. 😂😂

I can see this was posted a long time ago but through dna I’m sure my paternal great grandad was illegitimate child of one of George moss and Esther westburys children with a high probability of it being Albert moss who would have been a brother of your John moss. I have many dna matches to the moss family and the pratley and peachey family’s so we are prob related 😂😂
