Suffolk / Richard Death Brent Eleigh 1654 Rebecca Death Brent Eleigh 1696
« on: Saturday 07 July 18 23:09 BST (UK)  »
I am wondering anyone can have a look at the records in Bury St Edmunds or can confirm this trial.

The Ancestors concerned are Rebecca Death born 1696 parents Richard Death and Sarah Simpson and Richard Death born 1654 to George Death and Francis/Francis?

I am assuming this is the correct line of descent. I would to like confirm it is correct or not.

Thanks Annette7

I could not find the Robert Butcher  marriage record.

Could you see any other references to the Butcher surname or its French  sounding variants in Bradfield St George or neighboring parishes in that time period?

Hi Francoso

Do you know of any Baptisms/ Marriages in Bradfield Combust?Bradfield St George under the name Bouchier, Bourchier, Boucher, Bouchien, Bouchinn etc

I did check out the French and earlier Dutch communities set up in Ipswich in 1681 and  did not find anything of interest.

Hi Francisco

Do you think he could be a relation to our Samuel Bouchier/Butcher born circa 1727 who lived in Bradfield Comburst circa 1750?

Hi Francoso

Henry Butcher was my 2nd great grandfather. My descent is through his son John Samuel Butcher who married 'Annie Blackwell" in 1887

1887/3551   Annie   Blackwell   John Samuel   Butcher

Hi francoso

I am on the other side of world too.

I will contact bury St Edmund's and find out if they have all the manorial rolls for Bradfield combust for the early and middle 18th century, and if it is not too costly, ask them to do some research.

If I do. I will post what was found, even if it is nothing.

Hi francoso

Have you had a look at the manorial rolls of Bradfield Combust? They are held by the Bury St Edmunds office and small number are also held in Ipswich.

Are you also certain Samuel Butcher/Bouchier was born in Bradfield Combust? I don't think any baptism record has been found.

Certainly if I get break though on him, I will post what I have found.

Antrim / James Welsh/ Jane McCullough
« on: Monday 07 August 17 04:28 BST (UK)  »
I am Wondering if anyone has any information regarding a James Welsh and Jane McCullough, both were born in Belfast in the early 19th Century. i don't have a date for their baptisms.

I have far more information on their son Nicholas Welsh born in county Down in 1842 and his wife Mary Ann Adair born in Belfast 1841/43 daughter of John Adair and Catherine Robinson both born in Belfast.

Nicholas and Mary Ann both emigrated to New Zealand in 1873

What I am searching for is the parents of both James Welsh and Jane McCullough, as this is a long standing brick wall.
