Just to "square the circle" the certificate that I ordered in early May arrived today.  So patience is the key!

I have now found out more about Sarah's Marriage.  Sarah ‘s Marriage to Thomas Moreland took place on on 13th May 1854 at the Baptist Chapel in Swanwick, Derbyshire. Thomas Moreland aged 45 was a widower whose occupation was a moulder living at Riddings. Thomas’s father was also called Thomas Moreland and he was a labourer.
Sarah Dawes was aged 37 years and was a spinster living at Newlands Fam, Greenhill Lane. No occupation is given for Sarah. Her father was Thomas Dawes, a labourer.
The witnesses were John Dawes & Hannah ?
I am still struggling to find Sarah  in the 1851 & 1841 Census - is anyone able to help?

Many thanks to everyone who has replied. It all adds to our understanding of the situation in these strange times.

Many thanks for letting me know KGarrad.  That's just the information that I needed. I did not want to pester the GRO in the current crisis and now I know that my certificate is likely to arrive with a little patience.

(Sorry for the typo- should have originally read 19th Century certificate!- now updated)

Thank you for getting back Gadget & Girl guide:

I missed this when I applied a while back.  I just guess that I will just have to be extremely patient.  I just wondered if any none urgent certificates were getting through at the moment as “lock down” is being relaxed just a little.

(It's a post 1837 certificate).

I ordered an 19th century Marriage certificate from the GRO a while ago as part of some research that I am doing. I know that they currently have significantly reduced staffing due to the current pandemic. I am sure that they have more urgent cases to deal with at the moment and I will most probably have to be very patient in waiting for it to arrive. Does anyone know if none urgent orders are arriving through the post at the moment and how long they are taking?

Thank you so much Ladyhawk - Much appreciated.  I now know a little more about her early pre Codnor Park  history.  The Birchwood reference ties in nicely.

I wonder where she was in 1841 & 1851?

Many thanks for getting back. It is probably what she traded in, I would imagine.  However, I have seen "Iron" in brackets after small ware for some dealers. There was an iron works a very short distance from her house.

Following on from my last message I have since found Mrs Sarah Moreland listed as a "shopkeeper" living at 5, Railway Row, Codnor Park in two trade directories (1876 & 1877). So everything seems to fit.

I wonder what small wares she traded in?

Also I have managed to trace her back to living with her husband in Codnor Park to the 1861 census. Her husband died in 1862.

Sarah died in 1895 in Osmaston. She had a daughter Jane born in Riddings in in 1855. Sarah probably got married in 1854 in the Belper registration district. So things seem to fit here.

So far I have been unable to trace her in the 1851 or 1841 census. Is any one able to help? The 1891 census gives her place of birth as Birchwood rather than Alfreton given in previous census.

Any help would be appreciated.
