There's a family in the 1851 Census at 17 Broadwall, Christchurch, Southwark, London. My gg- and g-grandfather are there. Surname Eveson, but it's the wife and Ma-in-law I'm searching for without success.
Eliza Elizabeth Beal(e) c1924 and her Mum, Susan Beal(e) c1786. Helpfully noted in the 1851 census as 'Wife's Mother' and 'former Laundress'. Both Susan and Elizabeth have place of birth as Bath, Somerset.
I found Eliza's MC, so her father was John Beal(e), Mason. Eliza wasn't married in 1841.
I can't find them in/around Bath, so now I'm looking in London. John Beal(e) (Mason) age unknown and Susan Beal(e) (Laundress) aged 55, and their child Eliza aged 17. John might already be deceased in 1841 of course. I can't find John and Susan's marriage either.
Is there a name index for the 1841 London?

Thanks Jennifer. They're both possibles. Can you tell me the names of the families they were staying with, or were they on their own? Not sure if this is even possible, I have no idea of how much info is in this census.
