Amos Hodgson b. 1852 snape.
I have him from 1861 census age 6 up to 1891 census age 39 living with wife Eliza.
Just cannot find 1901

he is listed with his parents James and Ann, and a sibling William
can anyone decipher what the last sibling age 14 is called please . Looks like it has 2 i's in it as i see 2 dots

I have been looking at info on my gg grandparents James and Louisa Lawton. Goldenhill Staffordshire.
I have found them in 1871/61/51 census and i think my ggg father in 1841 census age 21
They had 2 children William and Robert, i have found info on William b 1849, his marriage and children.
But i have been looking for Robert and i cannot find anything, even a death for him.
He was Robert Lawton b.1852 goldenhill staffs.
If anyone can shed any light on Robert please

My Grandfather was Amos Hodgson b.1854 Snape. He married Eliza Peacock b. 1853 bullermoor.
I have 1881 census info on them. But i am trying to go back through Amos's tree.
I have found him in 1861 census snape, living with his parents John ?43and Sarah Hodgson 54. There seems a largish age gap between them! Amos is 6 in this census.
in the 1871 snape census John is 57 and his wife sarah is 70! and says born boroughbridge not longthorpe as in 1861 census. Are these the same Hodgsons?

But when i try and go back with John and Sarah his parents i cannot find an 1851 census, but when i find an 1841 census its a John Hodgson age 25 married to an Elizabeth age 25 with 3 children all born snape.
Can anyone tell me if i am looking at the same people?? maybe sarah is a 2nd wife

I dont have eliza's date of death, i do know she was married to Amos Hodgson b.1854 snape, they were married 13th may 1902 Crakehall and 2 children i found were Elizabeth Ann Hodgsin b.12th oct 1884
Matthew John Hodgson b. 1887 both Crakehall
thanks for any info you can get me on Eliza's parents.
I did at one point think they may be called John Peacock and Ann Blackburn, but i cant find where i found that info, or even if it was right!

I am looking for info on Janet Comb b. 1818 dunbar, d. april q 1854 Durham
i think i found her in an 1841 census in Gainford Durham living with her sisters Susan and Mary Ann all born S..which i take to be Scotland?!
The head of the house is Michael Callender age 65.
I think Janet was my GGgrandfathers first wife!He was Edward Emmerson Callender b. 1820 Ovingham Northumberland!
would like any info on her parents, birth etc
