Hi there I am looking for marriage and death information on an Albert HARRIS aka RENNAE born 8 May 1917 St Thomas, Virgin Islands.

He was a seaman and was in Sydney, Australia c1952. He was employed by the Matson Line.
The address he was using in 1952 was 1241 Webster Street, San Francisco.
Any help wold be very much appreciated.

My mum is going to be traveling to London from New Zealand next month and has offered to visit the National Archives for me to try and find information regarding from great grandmother.

I am wanting to give her an idea about where to start. My great grandmother was living in St Pancras from c1917 until 1924.
What sort of records could be available from that time?

Is it as simple as entering a name into the database when she gets there?

Any ideas are very much appreciated!

I am looking for information regarding Alice WALKER nee ROONEY who was born c1882 in Lancashire. She married a Henry or Andrew WALKER and she passed away in 1945. Possible children were Lillian, James and Michael. Her son John was born 1920 or 1921. Any information would be very much appreciated.

I am looking for information regarding Norman McGREGOR who was born 1905 in Glasgow. His mother may have been Isabella DOBSON.
Norman married Isabella SPENCE in 1933 and he was in the Merchant Navy.
He jumped ship and settled in New Zealand.

I am hoping to find his parents names.

I am trying to verify whether my grandmother was adopted by her stepfather when her mother married him or she just used his surname.

My grandmother was born 1918 in London, England. We were told that her biological father was killed in action before she was born.
Her mother married a NZ soldier a year later and they had a biological daughter in 1920 before moving to NZ in 1923.
My grandmother was listed in the passenger list under the stepfathers surname and it is the only surname she used until she got married.

Where might I find information regarding this supposed adoption?

I am looking for information regarding Rose FRANCIS born in NSW to Thomas and Margaret Rose FRANCIS nee ISHERWOOD.
I know nothing about her and I only know about about her existence because her name appears in her dad's death notice.
She had 2 sisters Norah and Evelyn.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

My grandmother and her brother were both born in Bentleigh Ave, Avondale. Her brother in 1931 and nana in 1933.

Was there a maternity home there around that time?

My grandmother was born in 1918 and came to NZ in 1924.

Are there any website where I might find information about her life in London? School or hospital records maybe?

Her parents were haberdashers.
