Scotland / Re: John Crawford b. c1835 , death between 1881 - 1894 ?

I am also interested in finding death of John Crawford. I tried looking at free BMD covering England but proved unsuccessful.

I found them in in 1871 at Kilsyth then 1881 in Alloa as has been said before.
In between, daughter Margaret was born in 1878, Edinburgh st Giles. She died in 1894 in Edinburgh. John is noted as "deceased" on her death cert.
Reputed wife Mary died in 1901, a vagrant and is registered in Corstorphine.

Bit what about John's death? When and where it is registered?

thanks Jim appreciate all your comments.

The parents were alive in 1920's. I suspect they may have been too grief stricken to apply. As you say, we will never know.

Hi Jim

Thank you.

Does it mean the family took delivery of 1914/15 star and general medal then?

Jim

Here is the medal card for James. Can you work out which medals were delivered?

What does it all mean? Thanks
