Just received the birth certificate of Olive Eleanor Frances Crawford today,
confirms that her father was Andrew Crawford, master draper,
her mother Amy Amelia Crawford formerly Nicholls,
born at 45 Mansfield Road, Ilford,
I now need to get the marriage certificate from 1905.

Would that tell me if Andrew Crawford was previously married?
Amy Amelia Nicholls could be his second wife?

Andrew Crawford would have been 45yrs old when he married her.

thank you for any help,
Amanda,
Canada.

Essex / Andrew CRAWFORD - Ilford
« on: Saturday 26 August 06 00:17 BST (UK)  »
I have just began to search for the family of Andrew Crawford born Roxburghshire,Scotland,1860,
he is the only branch of my Crawford tree I need to complete.
Andrew Crawford was the informant at the death of his uncle in Scotland on Aug 24th 1889,he gave his address as;141 Queens Rd,Bayswater,London.

I have searched for Andrew on the 1901 census for England and believe he is living at 17 Grosvenor Rd, Ilford,Essex, with his wife Selina( hand writing difficult to read),
Andrew is 41yrs old,a draper born Scotland.

My only clue to his family is a photograph of Olive Crawford taken in Billericay, she kept in touch with my late great-uncle, who died in 1998.

When Miss Olive Crawford died in 1999 my mother received a letter from her nephew, Brigadier Alistair W Crawford,

I have done a search on the 1837 web site and found; Olive Eleanor F Crawford,born 2nd Oct 1907,died Thurrock,Dec 1999,
Also Olive Eleanor F Crawford, born Romford 1907,

My other great-uncle who will be 101yrs old next month, can only tell me that Olive Crawfords father was Andrew Crawford who was a draper. he didn't keep in touch with that side of the family,

Given that Olive was born in 1907 she may have been Andrew's daughter or grand-daughter,

Andrew Crawford's parents were William Crawford and Eleanor Brown,

Any help or suggestions would be most welcome,
I live in Canada and I am more familiar with research in Scotland which has a very different system.
Thank you for reading,
Amanda.

Hi Debbie, this is not a complete list of headstones on the Teviothead Old Churchyard, there are no Dixon or Dicksons mentioned, the new burial ground at Teviothead was opened in 1887,just across the road next to the church, not sure what years you are interested in,
Amanda.
