Not sure ,but it does not ask for money or a subscription so unless it is genuine or a genuine error,I can’t see the point as you feel sure you have no connection the the soldier commemorated .
Hope you solve the mystery.


The only canada link I have found so far
is a relatives half uncle was sent to canada 12 years old as an orphan during the way with all the other kids because his mother was put in an asylum but thats now the same name. Thats all I could find of that.

Hi everyone, not sure where to post this but as it is from Canada thought this is was the best place to start.

I randomly received this today all the way from Canada house of commons. I never asked for absolutely bizzare and the name mentioned I do not recognise at all in my family tree.

How did they even find my address is this for real?

Trying to work out if it's my grandad or my great grandad it was amongst his old stuff we found years ago when he passed away.
Any idea from uniform what year it was taken?

it's my mom grandad and she said it was definitely an amputation on the left leg but she is shocked to hear about the other wounds he never mentioned them. D day brought me to have a look if I could find anything about him from ww1
Absolute heroes all of them.
He went on to have 2 more children despite what happened haha!
