I am looking for Capt. Henry Caldwell, he left the States around 1784 from Connecticut to secure family land in England. Surnames associated with him are Caldwell, Wyllys, Lord, Stillman. I believe it may be Stillman, Stileman or Styleman property??? near Steeple Ashton? His Great Grandfather George Stillman came to the States, his wife Lady Jane Pickering died on the voyage here. His children who were left in England were John, Jane & Samuel. Apparently the surname Pickering was added so Jane could keep her social standing??? If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.

WOW! and I thought recording local cemetaries where I grew up was impressive. What a great thing you are doing.  (refers to this thread http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,128585.0.html from which it was split to enhance the potential for a positive response on the London Lookup Request board )

I am looking for some old  bones... my gr. gr. gr. gr. great grandmother Harriet Bromedge Caldwell and her son George Lord Caldwell where buried at St. Pancrass Church Yard. Sometime between 16 Sep 1795 and 27 Nov 1809. Id htere any way to find out more? The only reason I know the dates is because George was born on this date in 1795 and I have a letter from Harriet's husband to their other son from te date in 1809.
Also looking for any other info on the Bromedge family, if you stumble across any with that name.
Thank you in advance and keep up the good work.

I am looking for any info on:
"John Caldwell, a Scotch
gentleman, was from the county of Ayer, of an ancient and highly
respectable family now represented in Ireland by the Barronet's
Caldwell" of "Caldwell Castle", and in England by the "Stamford
Caldwells of Linlaywood," Staffordshire. John Caldwell was born in
Scotland in 1688..."
He came to the USA in the 1720's and married Hannah Stillman.
Anything going back is still a mystery to me. I would greatly appreciate any help

I am looking for info on Harriet Bromedge (sp) born10 August 1771 St. Nicholas, Surry. Married Capt. Henry Caldwell about 1785 St. Mary's Newington Butts. Died after 1793 she is buried at St. Pancras Church. I had seen somewhere that the Church Yard was being torn up a while ago and didn't know if there was any way to have a picture of the stone -if it is still there- if anyone is close to there and could email it to me that would be wonderful.
Thanks in advance.

I have a question...I was wondering if there was any way to look at more current obits? My husbands great grandparents were from the Aberdeen area. They had a farm in Upper Mastrick. I have a picture of the farm and it states Grandpa Clubb's home before the business district was built.
His name was Andrew Clubb born 6 May 1844, married 2 june 1870, to Jane Smith born about 1849 she died abt 1920. According to my husbands Grandmother she was struck by a car and died from  injuries.
Is there any way to look at obits in the early 1900's?
Thank you in advance.
