He was on the marriage certificate has deceased. Think he died in 1877 or 1881. Thinking if Bridget is part of the McGuill family that Heywood found then if she married John Tierney in Armagh then they all came over together to Preston. That would mean they came over in the 1860s.
Thanks again

Thanks probably sounds a good idea, think Heywood might be on the right track with the family on Church Street McGuill.
The head is down has a General Dealer, could be there like travellers. On my Granddads marriage cert he has put his dad John Tierney has a marine store dealer, think thats same has a hawker. Thanks

Think i am beginning to see that,
They dont make it easy. John Tierney jnr (my Granddad) in 1909 married my Grandma and on the certificate he said he was 30 when he was actually 36. In 1941 when he died my Grandma put is age at 68. Going go with McGuillfor now see what i can turn up.
Thanks

Thats interesting Thanks for that.

The address on the birth certificate was 1873 so like you say they probably did move.
The Mcguill Family, Bridget could be the oldest daughter.
Think i might go with the spelling McGuill than McGill just now.
Thanks again

Hi Heywood

thanks for the info and looking. I will keep it in mind.
The name Mcgill or Mcguill i sort of put down has on the Lancashire BMD the maiden name for John Tierney jnr mum is McGwill and think that is miss spelt.
I sent for the birth certificate and thats were the other information came from. Bridget being a Hawker i got from Fulwood Workhouse 1881 census.
thanks again for your time.

On the birth cert for John jnr the address is 7, Syke Street Preston, but still not seeing anything.

Trying different spellings now see if i can trace anything to them.
