I don't know if this is relevant but in the 1940 Kelly's directory the next three public houses are shown:-
1. Inion Inn 90, New Street.
2. Inion Inn and Railway Tavern 59, Horninglow Street.
3. Union Tavern 10, Union Street.

Hello Catherine.
I got the original information from Family Search census.
Thank you for pulling the skeleton out of the cupboard and for all the other information that you have supplied me with. I now have more and better lines of enquiry.

Library and FHS Lookups / george atkins - convict
« on: Wednesday 19 April 17 21:14 BST (UK)  »
In my tree I have a George Atkins who was born at Great Haywood, Staffordshire in 1821, married in 1843 Sarah Henshaw who was born at Great Haywood in 1822. In the 1851 census it shows that George is incarcerated in Aylesbury prison. I can find neither George nor his wife in any subsequent census.
Can s.k.s. please tell me where I can find further information as regards to his crime and whether he was transported.
Tks. in anticipation.

If it is Hanbury, Staffordshire, that you are looking for then if you google  'wishful thinking' you will be able to access lots of memorial inscriptions for St. Werburghs churchyard.

Hello Yorky,

A few years ago I wanted to trace details of a relative who had emigrated to Canada and by using Canada White Pages I managed to trace his abcestors and have been in touch ever since.

White pages Nova Scotia shows a C. Ellicott living at Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, and gives his address and tele. number. Google White Pages Bridgewater Nova Scotia for details. It may be worth a telephone call to see if he/she is an ancestor.
