That's the one.  Rev. Thomas Kingsman was Rector there a few hundred years ago and when I contacted (very helpful) local  government people, they said all streets around the old rectory where named after the rectors.  Recently found a Kingsman who married into the Basketts (what an unfortunate name!); quite a lot of whom were clergymen in my new home area of Dorset, including one who was vicar in a small village where 2 of my sons went to school nearly 30 years ago! Talk about small world.

Can you find them on any census as birthplace is listed on details?

Hi,

Oh Dimps, how kind of you I would love photos (I can pass them on to my cousin who is also busy on the family tree).

Thanks for the info about the streets; have just found a street in Woolwich named after a family member on another branch.  It all builds a more interesting picture doesn't it?

Hi MJP,

Thank you so much; if writing is bad then... James (def. a blacksmith) born Woolwich,  Amelia L is really Amelia S and her age should be 30 not 20; that gives Matilda (my gt.grandma) her right age.Did not know about Ida.....another one to hunt! Did wonder if they would gain an "e" or perhaps a "y".
