try https://archive.org/details/recordoffourteen00canniala/page/60/mode/2up, 2 Bn were formed in Autumn 1804 and look to have been in Sussex 1804-06 In 1806 were in Ireland. In 1808 they sailed from Cork to Corruna, returned to UK 1809 then to Malta in 1810 . In Malta 1816 when sailed to Ionian Islands returning to Portsmouth 24-25 November 1818. On 23 December the 2 Bn was reduced at Chichester and 420 men posted to 1 Bn

I would liken the Sea fencibles to a maritime Home Guard, from what I've read one of the key reasons for joining was they were exempt from the Press Gangs (assuming they had the chance to explain)

Birth certifcate posted on local facebook, Finder is trying to return it to family. born Feb 29 1932 to Mary Lizzie Davies formerly Jones and David Tom Davies. Address is faded but looks like 3 Greengate, Cwm.....Pencarreg, Lampeter

This seems to be the daughter Jane b 1863 and links her to Edmund with mother Jane and brother Frederick.
William may be fictional.
just noticed that Martha Coster b1838 married William HAWKES in 1857

I don't have anything on Joseph except the 1841 census,, his marriage to Sarah 1815, to Hannah 1846 and his death. His father was William according to his marriage in 1846 A possible baptism for him is 20/3/1791 St Stephans, Coleman St. You are right in that Frederick & Jane link but not anything positive further back

thanks again both, Maddy, You have the right Joseph, after Sarah died the kids were taken on by Elizabeth. Joseph remarried to Hannah Constable in 1846 and she was present at his death from cholera. As you say, no Jane and that is the link I am looking for to follow down to Frederick. Joseph was my mother's GGF
