Cheshire / Explosion in Chester?

Hi all
My Father Maxwell Richard Franklin b1918 Lambeth, London died
in 1949 Chester after a long spell in hospital. I have been told it was the result of a Gas Refridgerator explosion. As he lived in London I assume he was working in Chester unless he was transferred after the accident. Can anyone shed any light on what happened or where I might find a newspaper article?

Northumberland Lookup Requests / Bamburgh Cemetary

Hi All,
You've helped me out enormously in the past I hope you can help me with this one.
I vaguely remember my Mum saying either that we are related in someway to Grace Darling or that one of my relatives is buried in the same cemetary. I've tried several threads of the Galloways or Cairns but have drawn a blank. So I thought I'd try looking for burials in Bamburgh Cemetary. Can I do this online or does it mean a visit?

Hi fellow searchers,
With no living relatives who I can ask I'm finding the first part of my family tree hard going. (Help!)
My Grandfather Arthur Ambrose Franklin was born in 1888 in Canning Town. He was 27 when he married Florence Anderson in July 1915. His address was 80, Byron Ave.
My Great Grandfather was Ambrose Arthur Franklin and his occupation was a Bootmaker. I'm trying to find out where they lived and my Great Grandmother's name.

Ireland / Missing Maiden Name

Hi All,
My G/Grandmother was called Alice who, according to the 1881 Census was born abt 1830 in Ireland. Her married name was Galloway and in 1881 was living in Newcastle, Northumberland.
Can anyone help me find out when and why she emigrated and what her maiden name was and where she was born or point me in the right direction of how I can find out.

My Father Maxwell Richard Franklin (b 1918 d 1949) had two brothers Kenneth (b 1916) and Keith (b 1921) all in Lambeth. My Grandfather Arthur A. Franklin married Florence Anderson (b 1890) in West Ham 1915 which I believe was where my Grandmother lived has anyone come across my Grandfather in their searches. I’m trying to find the year he was born and where, what the ‘A’ stands for and where he lived? ( I’m asking a lot aren’t I )

Hi All,
I have recently come across one of my late mother’s Bible’s.
Inside is a signed photo of Rev. Reginald Kirby along with some quotes but no dates. My Mum was Joyce Wilhelmina Galloway and was born in Dec 1914 and registered in 1915. I’m not sure why but my Mum had to stay with her aunt and uncle (unknown) in Corbridge and then was adopted by the Murphys in Welfield, Earsdon, Whitley Bay. Has anyone any idea who Reginald Kirby was and what church he was the vicar of, or how I can find out about him.

I'm trying to trace my grandparents on my mother's side. Grandmother's maiden name was Cairns Grandfather's name was Galloway they lived in Wallsend c1909 when first child Robert was born, Catherine was born next 1913 and my Mother Joyce Wilhelmina was born in 1914. As well as the first names of my Grandparents I'm also trying to find out why my mother was put up for adoption? Help!
