London & Middlesex Completed Lookup Requests / 1851 Census Look up DYKE & MURRAY
« on: Tuesday 15 August 06 01:58 BST (UK)  »
Can anyone see if they can find the following on the 1851 census please:

James Dyke - aged 50 (born about 1801 Somerset) and his daughter Martha Dyke - aged about 16 (born 1835 Limehouse)

Matthew Murray born before 1830
Jospeh Murray - born before 1833

These last two might be in Stepney but as they were sailors/mariners I'm not certain.

I hope someone can help here.

London & Middlesex Completed Lookup Requests / 1861 census look up
« on: Tuesday 15 August 06 01:46 BST (UK)  »
Can somebody see if they can find the following persons on the 1861 census:

Flroence Donovan - aged about 3 - born Whitechapel - this is my great great grandfather and he may be down as Florence, Florence John, or John!

His father was John Donovan (born c1838 Ireland) and his mother was Catherine Flynn (born c1838-1841 Ireland). In 1871 the family lived at 16 Buckle Street, St George in the East.

On the 1861 they might be in the Whitechapel area (that's where my great great grandfather was born) but so far I cannot find them.

Thanks

Matt Donovan

Cork / Donald and John Donovan
« on: Tuesday 07 March 06 22:56 GMT (UK)  »
I'm looking for information on a Donald Donovan born in Cork c1811. He married a woman named Ellen sometime prior to 1836 when thier first child Mary was born. He also had another daughter named Johanna (born 1838) and a son John born 1839. By 1851 he had moved to the Whitechapel area of London.

I am also seeking information on a John Donovan (possibly the son of Donald) born in Cork in c1837 or 1838 who went on to marry a woman named Catherine (born Ireland c1842). By 1858 he was living in Whitechapel, London and by 1871 was living at 16 Buckle Street.
