I would think between 1919 when they married but probably since birth 1884 (Maud)and their death, whenever that might have been.

Thank you Monica. The links were very interesting.
I suppose what I would really like to learn is any information about Artemisha’s parents & especially her grandfather. He obviously obtained quite a lot of land & I wonder if he was going to farm it or use it for something else. He must have been fairly wealthy.

My father was Canadian & served in the UK with the Princess Pat’s stationed in Surrey from 1940-44. I have been unable to find anything about his time here or his subsequent posting to Italy. Any help please.

Artemisha was my great, great, great grandmother & apparently, her grandfather submitted his Georgia land petition from Augusta in April 1784. Would really like to find out more about her.

I’m going by the entry in my Gran’s birthday book so I suppose she could have put 1882 instead of 1884. The 3rd October does tie up though so I suppose I can assume that it is him.

My Gran was a pianist so maybe that is where she knew Carl from. He had such a grand name & I couldn’t imagine how she knew him.
His birthday is listed as October 3rd 1882
Thanks for this information.
