Denbighshire / Re: David Roberts b c 1839 Llansannan

I think we all have surmised that Ann was a Jones because of the mother in law on 1871 census being Mary Jones and there are so many Mary Roberts in the births, it would be a records office job to look on the microfiche.

Hi,
David Roberts and Ann Jones are my 3x great grandparents, their daughter Mary married David Hughes. I have a Baptism record for Mary but no actual marriage for David and Ann, there are many people on Ancestry with the same details. I don't think I have birth certificate for Mary, so that is something I will do.
PM if you would like further info
Kind Regards

Hi,
I don't think my Dorothy Roberts (Dora) is your Great Grandmother as she was unmarried all her life. Thank you for your reply though.

Denbighshire Lookup Requests / Re: Jones' of Bontuchel/Ruthin

Hi Alyn,
I am glad you have found this article of value to you, it was interesting to read back what other people had replied to my original question. I have since still been unable to find out anything on my Robert Roberts b 1844 Gyffylliog/Bontuchel so that line of my ancestry is a bit of a brick wall at the moment.
Kind Regards

Denbighshire Lookup Requests / Re: 1891 & 1901 Look ups Pls. Boaz Roberts
« on: Tuesday 04 July 17 08:21 BST (UK)  »
Hi,
Thank you for your reply. Boaz was my great Grandmother Sarah Ann Roberts' sister. We indeed did discover that he sailed to Patagonia and that he married and had a family, but he died very young about 1905 and is buried out there.
Kind Regards

Denbighshire / Re: Denbigh mental asylum

Hi
My 3xgreat grandmother also died in the asylum in 1916, we had her records a few years ago, which would have been before the 100 year rule, so it's worth asking the record's office. My ancestor was buried in her home village a few miles from the Asylum, so try a general search for your relation's burial.

My dad has lived all his life in Rhuddlan, he was born in 1936 so photo previous to him but it's worth a shot, I will get my mam to show him the photo.

Cheshire / Re: Burial in Bebington

Sorry I automatically assumed she was born Rock Ferry as that is what the Census says as birth place, so mistake on my part.  She was Baptised in Tranmere, Cheshire.
Kind Regards
