The Common Room / Worwood family
« on: Monday 02 January 06 23:26 GMT (UK)  »
Hi Trish and others
I have been struggling with Worwoods in my tree for a while now.
But according to my records,
Charlotte Elizabeth Worwood married 1841 to Jonathon William Fenton. I hope this helps narrow things down a bit.
I Worwoods are in your tree I would love to contact you.
The weird thing is I have a Charlotte Elizabeth Worwood as the mother of my gr grandfather. From the PR, James Thomas Worwood bapt 1836 Rotherhithe, parents James Thomas  and charlotte Elizabeth Worwood. I cannot find anything on this family prior to this. I was wondering whether, he was her brother or something and JT junior was born out of wedlock.
Love to hear from you.

hello everyone
My James Thomas Worwood (Warwood) and wife Charlotte Elizabeth cannot be found. HELP. I have tried censuses online...IGI, and EVERY other resource online, Plus Deptford PR marriages for 1836 and around. Plus 1829-1837 BMD (PR) for "Rotherhithe" Surrey/London. I have even googled. A part from the IGI and the Birth on Rotherhithe PR, which I confirmed,  I cannot find James Thomas Worwoods parents anywhere even on Google. It seems like James and Charlotte did not exist.
I have a couple of addresses I would like to see if they were there on the 1841 and 1851 census.
James Thomas JNR was born September 1836. The address at birth from PR was -Eves Place, Adam Street, Rotherhithe - parents James Thomas and Charlotte Elizabeth.
1861 census was at 77 Railway Grove, Deptford.
Could someone possibly check these addresses for 1841 and 1851.
This family are making me bald. any help appreciated.
Cheers Pam from Adelaide, Australia

Hi Andy,
Try Michael Cheesemans dorset site through rootsweb. Just remember that people like me transcribe their families when they get a PR or Bt out and post to this site. So take as you would find any other second hand resources. I have some of mine up for Allington posted on there....... Great site and some Sturminster BMD's from the Bt or PR are up there....I checked for you.

Well I might just be able to help you.
I am currently researching Bridport for Rendal(l) myself.
My william Rendal married a Mary Balston in Allington (just down the road from Bridport - 2.1 miles I think.   So I am collecting Rendals from that area. Allington, bridport and Netherbury. I will see what I can find.
