Hi All,

Looking for Electoral Roll for Richard and Ileen (nee Stapleton) GERMAN around 1930-40 era in the Sarina/Mission Beach Area of North Queensland.

Their daughter B 1833 had an aboriginal nanny and would be interested to know if she would be listed on the Roll as part of the household.

Unfortunately she can't remember her name.

Any suggestions re the nanny would be greatly appreciated.

Note the "Glendenning" name is also the middle name of William Forgan Smith's sister, Janet "GlendInning" Smith B 1875 Broughty Ferry, Angus, Scotland.

Hi All,

Looking for William Forgan Smith who apparently went to live with his Aunt/Cousin?? in or about 1911-1913 in Mackay, Queensland. He is apparently related to my uncle and I'm trying to find the missing link. My uncle is a Forgan.

William Forgan Smith B Mynefield House, near Ivergowrie, Perthshire, Scotland 1887.
Parents: George Smith and Mary (nee Forgan) Smith. M 9/5/1873 Pittenweem, Fife, Scotland.

George Smith was chief gardener on the Brand family estate of Airlie Castle. I have yet to find any census info re George and Mary and family, (3 sons and 4 daughters).

William Forgan Smith went on to become Premier of Queensland from 1932-1942.

Possible marriage to Janet Tulloch in 1913 Brisbane, Qld

I have a possible photo with him in sent to his sister - but I dont know which person he is.
