Free Photo Restoration & Date Old Photographs / Gadget suggests re-posting
« on: Monday 13 November 06 09:51 GMT (UK)  »
After receiving some welcome hints on how to scan from the "experts" on this board I am re-posting the picture of the cottage to see if any kind soul can improve it.

Many thanks in advance.

Thanks Gadget, thats really great, I think we can now recognise the older woman as my wife's gr grandmother and the person to the left as her daughter. No idea who the young girl is though, will have to work on that.  Do you think the whole picture of the cottage can be made better or is it to faded an original to do anything with. (not imposing on you to do it but just want you expert view)

Thanks again for your help, very much appreciated.

Have now re-scanned to 300dpi and maximum setting, fingers crossed

Only recently started scanning so not too sure what to do. I have cropped and rescanned to 300dpI with the ladies faces and have also rescanned the complete photo (in case anyone would like to have a go at that also). When I saved it ask "Low, Medium and high" I chose low as this was the smallest file to send, hope that is correct??

Many thanks for taking the time to help me.

Moderator comment: had to resize the lower photo again for ease of viewing!  Quality should be the same

London & Middlesex Completed Lookup Requests / Burial Place 1837 - 1843 COMPLETED
« on: Sunday 17 September 06 20:24 BST (UK)  »
I am looking for information regarding the burial place of a person who died between 1837 and 1843. He would have been living in Bookers Gardens, off Leadenhall street. I presume it would have been a cemetery burial. I know his children were baptised in St Andrews Undershaft church.

Thanks in anticipation.
