Cardiganshire / David Andrew and Mary Morgan
« on: Saturday 24 June 06 19:08 BST (UK)  »
My great, great great grandfather was David Andrew born in Cardigan in 1847.  He married Mary Elizabeth Morgan from Tregaron.  I have a copy of their marriage cert but am unable to find Davids birth.  Each census from 71 onwards stated a different town of birth. His father was John Andrew. Any help appreciated. Thankyou

All the surnames listed are referred to as grandsons, nephews or children in my great great grandfathers obituary.  The date of the obituary is 1826.  His name was Thomas Lawrence born 1845 in Oswestry. There were also references to the many nieces and nephews in Oswestry.  Am trying to trace anyoneone with any info on the family.  Others listed were Evans(rhiwlas)niece.  Others from the Oak Inn and the Golden Lion in Oswestry.  The Cross family from Oswestry and also from Manchester. Tunna family from Oswestry and Birkenhead. E. Weston from Worcester was grandson.  Thanks for any info you can give me. The spelling of Lawrence in the obit was Laurence

Hi Pete,

Thank you for all the info.  Every bit helps and gives me more to work on.

I have the family on all the census but just couldn't find a marriage.  Beginning to wonder if they bothered. Interesting that her mother was also Laurence. Now I think we're all interbred!!!!

Thank you very much

Regards Mandy

Would anyone be able to look for a marriage between Thomas Lawrence/Laurence c1794 and Sarah Sides c1805 from Oswestry area Shropshire. Have checked IGI with no luck. Their first children were born in Llanfyllin, Montgomeryshire approx 1830 and later in Oswestry.  Thank you for any help you can give me. Mandy
