If you tell them that, I'm sure they will fix it.

Good to know you got a refund.  Did they say anything about the will you were looking for? My guess is that 3 pages might be O.K. Careful reading would show if it started and ended at the right place. It sounds like SP gave you just about evrybody's will all at once.

Hi Ros.

It's been some time since this post so perhaps the problem has been resolved.

If not, all I can say is send another e-mail. I do not understand this at all. I have downloaded a number of wills and they are nowhere near thatnumber of pages. One of my relatives was in the iron/steel business and was very wealthy. Even his will did not exceed 16 pages.

I have had the very odd problem with "SCotland's People" and each time they have responded quickly and completely resolved the problem.

Cheers,
Rob.

Argyllshire / McGregors from Glen Etive.
« on: Thursday 01 June 06 22:40 BST (UK)  »
My wife's father was born in Glen Etive in 1908.

His parents were Gregor McGregor and Jessie Cameron.

Does anyone know this family who can help me trace in both directions.

Argyllshire / Re: How does one get to search 1851/1861 Scottish Census
« on: Thursday 01 June 06 22:35 BST (UK)  »
Scotlands People has all the census returns from 1841  to  1901.

From time to time I have acessed all of them.

Canada Lookup Requests Completed / Re: Allan family - Falkirk, Scotland to Canada

I have checked Scotlands People for a marriage anywhere in Scotland between 1900 & 1930 without sucess, so it would seem they married in Manitoba. This is another from my tree.  I think it  likely that Alexander would go to  where his half brother was because he would have the necessary help in starting a new life.

I also have a birth certificate for Alexander which shows his birth as 1894.

Her parents were married in Edinburgh and I dropped this one because it did not seem to
belong to my branch of the Allan family.  If I can find or recall the details, I will get back to you. However a search in ScotlandsPeople in Edinburgh should get you there.

These are my ancestors. I have details going back to about 1650 and forwards to the early 1900's. However I think it would take soem time to list it all here.  You can find it on Genes Reunited under Robert Allan
