Brian,

Pardon my faux pas, 'open' is the option I use. (not save).

Brian,
Thank you for you reply and apologies for delay responding. I tried your recommendation but sadly it didn't work.

Some further info about the process, in case it helps:

I can log in, get the statement on screen and print it off (Ctrl+P) as currant page, no problem.
Top of page a tab reads 'Print Statement', then comes 'Preparing Statement'  then 'Statement Ready - 'Download Now'.   Statements, in Adobe format, are downloaded with invitation to open/save/cancel..

At this point I normally click 'Save' and just print off the required pages - but now I can't.

Technical Help / Adobe Acrobat DC - can't print images
« on: Friday 08 March 19 16:08 GMT (UK)  »
Help required, if possible, please.

Suddenly unable to print building society statements in Adobe format.  Name of society prints at top of every page with some info at the bottom, but in between is blank - no transactions are showing?
Have checked for Adobe updates and there are none.

Should mention that my computer skills are pretty basic and Adobe is zero.
Thanks in anticipation.

Hallmark,

On reflection your suggestion would seem to fit, as the website (This is Money) is quite extensive.

Again thanks.

Technical Help / Long running script
« on: Sunday 09 September 18 11:45 BST (UK)  »
Hi all,

Wondered if anyone could help with the following:
Regularly view a particular websites and often find I can't scroll up or down with the mouse centre page, though I can if I click extreme right. When I use extreme right a message usually appears (bottom of screen) "website is not responding due to long running script" with further box option to "stop script".   Clicking 'stop script' usually solves the problem but it is annoying.

Hi,

First, apologies for late response due (a) pressing other matters, and (b) in truth I can barely remember the topic, it was so long ago.
Though I'm fairly sure I resolved the query for the lady at the time.

Second, the Gouldbourn's are indeed related to me ,though I'm aware a great many are not on my tree, for various reasons, but mostly because my research in recent years has been into 'other branches' of my family.
The Gouldbourn branch may well figure again in the near future  Meantime thank you for your interest.

Regards

Jolyon

Technical Help / Re: Gedcom files
« on: Thursday 21 June 18 13:39 BST (UK)  »
Martin,

I was referring to file 'type', now designated Adobe where previously nothing (so far as I recall).

Sorry if I confused you.

Martin,

Don't recall saying my Gedcom files were empty, but if I did, or gave that impression, didn't intend to - apologies.

For the record I have subsequently confirmed the files are ok.  I belatedly realized I have two other programs on my PC that will open Gedcom, namely Gedscape and genviewerlight.

Ray,

Will look into your recommendation and get back to you.

To everybody, again my thanks for your help.
