Also in
1853 Fanny long married James Quew, but by 1857 when she married Johnathon Jubber  her name had change from Quew to Quen.

Is it any wonder we all have to ask for other people to help when trying to trace family

Jonathon Jubber--- Charlotte Dubber 1833 ALVERSTOKE
on your name site.
I seem to have Jubber's on my mother's side through marriage.
Fanny Long - James Quew 1853 PORTSEA
They had a son James Thomas Quew (my G/Grandad)
James snr died and Fanny re married:
Fanny Quew (nee Long) - Jonathon Jubber c1856/8.
James T jnr Then took the name Jubber until he married:
Louisa Ann Edwards - James Thomas Quew 1882 PORTSEA
My maternal Grandmother was also named Louisa Ann Quew and she married :
Louisa Ann Quew - George Henry Manley 1912 PORTSMOUTH.
Like your Dubber's Quew is not a common name and the family lived mainly around Portsea (Portsmouth) and Alverstoke.
For ages I couldn't find out where James T had gone after his father's death and then discovered Fanny 's name Quew had been mistaken for Quinn. I now have rellies who are 1/2 siblings to to James T  Quew with the name Jubber.
Hope this all makes sense What I wish to know now is. Do you have anything on your Jonathon Jubber that may be of use to me

Thank you Kathy, I agree about the 1901 E & E mix up, as both you and Nicky gave out the same info' on that one.
I can now go ahead, add these people to my tree and also order some more certificates in the knowledge I have the right family members.
