World War One / Trying to reunite family with WW1 War Medals
« on: Wednesday 03 July 13 16:29 BST (UK)  »
Looking for WW1 service records of
 J.G. DAVIS
 He served with  Royal Warwickshire’s.
 Regiment number 5483
I have found Medal Roll Index that reveals that his name is Joseph( 1915 )

I am hoping that his other  service records will reveal an address or next of Kin in order to reunite his medals with living family.

There are a number of Joseph Davis’s in Birmingham area.

The 1918 Absent Voters Electoral Register  states address and regiment number, this has not reveal any clues within the Birmingham Area with this service number.

My Theories -
Perhaps he was not from the Midlands.
Perhaps he was known by his second or middle name.
Could he have changed regiment and had a different service number?

I have found a marriage of a Joseph G. DAVIS = Frances ( Fanny ) R. HARDING
Registered in  Kings Norton ( Now in a part of Birmingham ) in 1920.

Fresh eyes and thoughts appreciated.
