Updated Absent Voter databases are now online including addresses thanks to a volunteer project at WAAS. Showing soldiers away from home eligible to vote after the Representation of the People Act 1918 they include their rank, regiment and service numbers. Our first completed indexes are for the City of Worcester in autumn 1918 and the April 1919 indexes for Bewdley, Evesham, Kidderminster (with Bromsgrove), and Stourbridge.

The Friends of Key Hill Cemetery & Warstone Lane Cemetery will be attending the Jewellery  Quarter Festival    on Saturday 29 July 2017 & will be WARSTONE Lane Cemetery  ( Vyse Street entrance ) Time: 11am-3pm:   The Friends will be able to help with questions and assist those who are looking for plot numbers of a family grave . We can also assist with family history questions. The Friends are the only group to maintain & preserve these two historic cemeteries as well as researching the lives of those buried here.

There are a number of notable people buried in both cemeteries.

Tours of the Jewellery Quarter Cemeteries in Hockley .
Tours are the 2nd Sunday in the month, January to November. None in December.
 
Tours of Warstone Lane Cemetery
Start at 12 Noon ( meet at Pitsford Street entrance ) .

Tours of Key Hill Cemetery
 Start at 2pm (meet at Ickneild  Street entrance by pillar gates)
 
Price:
£3.00 per person per cemetery.
£5.00 per couple per cemetery.
Free for children under 16 years.
Free to paid members of –The Friends of Key Hill Cemetery & Warstone Lane Cemetery Group.
All proceeds go towards the restoration of the cemeteries & graves.
The friends are the only group to maintain the cemeteries.

Private Tours for Family History Groups or Societies can be arranged.
