The Common Room / Vaccination Registers
« on: Friday 26 June 20 10:45 BST (UK)  »
I have a found a Vaccination Register in the Bath Record Office Archives.
One example is Ref:- BGB/5/1/7/2/7185 for Florence P. born in Nov 1877; vaccination 18 Nov 1877.

For this family I have found 10 entries – from the14 children born between 1872 and 1891.
My question is was vaccination compulsory everywhere or only in Somerset?

Has anyone else come across a Vaccination Register in other Counties at this time?

Could this be my elusive marriage?

I have been told that Samuel Joseph Clare married Jane (Unknown) 2q 1865 in Bath – not confirmed.
In the 1871 & 1881 census returns Jane was born 1841 in Old Down, Bath Somerset; there were no children.
