The Common Room / Re: 1921 Census
« on: Friday 05 November 21 01:22 GMT (UK)  »
I couldn't see that this mentioned in any of the 1921 census threads (but certainly could have missed it)....

Can anyone tell me if one needs to have a sub to FindMyPast in order to be able to also access the 1921 census transcripts/images? I know the FindMyPast website mentions a discount for a particular sub but doesn't seem to say whether one can view the records without a payed sub that I can see?

PB

They don’t make it clear do they, just mention the discount for pro subscribers.  I presume the 100 year rule applies, so again many entries redacted.
I can’t see many people taking a sub and then paying again for the 1921.

There won't be any redacted entries as it being released in line with the 100 rule.

Hutton Henry cemetery opened in 1887.

No, Wheatley Hill cemetery only opened in 1907.  Holy Trinity Church at Wingate would be the most likely place they would be buried.

Durham Records Online have transcriptions of the burial register 1841 to 1907. It's free to search but you need to buy credits to see the full details.

Northumberland / Looking for a 1930 burial

Can anyone find a burial for

Elizabeth Baxter aged 46
Q1 1930 Newcastle

From the Electoral Rolls I know she was living at Axwell Terrace, Benwell.

I don't have her death cert yet, it's one of many on my list!

Thanks

That's what I was hoping to find out Annette.  I'm doing some research on James Potts born ca 1879.

Bumble Nicholson appears later as Nicholas so isn't much help.

I think I've found the entries under Robson MMN Dixon!

Joanna Robson MMN Dixon
Q2 1876
Durham 10a 452 occasional copy A

Nicholson Robson MMN Dixon
Q2 1882
Sunderland 10a 636 occasional copy A

There was an elder sister Mary Ann on the census and this looks like her birth.

Mary Ann Robson MMN Dixon
Q4 1873
Stockton 10a 164

So there's just James' birth that I can't find.

Hannah Dixon daughter of Nicholson Dixon married Luke Robson 19/5/1862 Kelloe, Durham.  Likely death for Luke Q4 1870 Stockton aged 31 years.

It would seem Hannah was free to marry so I wonder if John Potts was already married.

Thanks for checking, pleased it's not just me.

Seems to be a problem family as her brother doesn't show on the GRO website either.
