Glamorganshire Lookup Requests / Missing Williams family in Neath
« on: Thursday 05 March 20 14:53 GMT (UK)  »
I've failed to find the Williams family in the 1851 census. I'm looking for Henry Williams, born in Ebbw Vale in 1833 and his wife Anne (nee Jones), born in Neath in 1833. They were married in Neath in 1849 and a son, John, was born there in 1854 so they were still there then. There may have been one or more children before John.
I'd be grateful if someone could take a peek at this for me, please.

Bedwellty district covered quite a large area but there was only one register office and that was the one in Tredegar so they would have been married there.

Any dates of birth or death?

Thanks for the reply. My Winnie was called Gwenllian by birth and she married William Bate but there are Davids in her family line. Do you have any dates?

Sorry, I just noticed you already have the 1939 entry.

I sent an email to the address on the Fochriw site and it came back as undelivered. Do you know if it's been changed?

Lesley

Sorry, my fault, couldn't spell.  My finger must have gone mad with the letter"o" in Fochriw.

Thanks, Ray, I'll certainly contact the gentleman. I've done some more searching and I now have some dates of death and addresses from the 1939 register, as well as the censuses.
