I have been going round in circles all afternoon.

Marjorie Lois Peckham born 11 Dec 1901 Sheerness, Kent married a Mr Wheeler and divorced him by 1939

1911 she is at home with parents Ernest and Talitha C Peckham in Sheerness

then she starts travelling!
1923 with a Miss Beal (the Beals lived next door in Sheerness) to Gibraltar on the SS Narkunda
1924 travels with her mother and sister Sybil to Gibraltar  on the SS Naldera
1925 arrives back from Gibraltar on the SS China saying permenant residence is Gibraltar
1930 on the SS Morea going to Singapore

after that her name changes to WHEELER
1936 Marjorie Wheeler on the SS Naldera  going to Gibraltar, intended residence "Straits"

1939 she is back home in Sheerness with a big D in the status box!

she doesn't remarry and dies 25 Nov 1988 in Maidstone.

I guess I'm looking for Gibraltar (?) records between 1930-1936. I don't have FindMyPast at the moment to check overseas marriages of brits abroad.

Any help would be extremely helpful

Having read another thread where several of you have praised TreeDraw, I am considering giving it a try.

I have used the charting within Rootsmagic but not totally happy with it, not as Flexible as I would like and takes ages to achieve what I want.  I have used charting in excel and Visio previously (including my old professional life) and my first trees before RM back in 2003 are in excel  and I still use it to rough draw a tree if I’m confused 😐

But I am in the process of writing a book and need to put in small sections of tree in each section and I would like it to be as neat and clear as possible.

Would I have to use a gedcom export as I don’t have legacy or K&K?
How flexible is it to personalise?
What is possible, any known restrictions?

I'm a bit lost

Durham Records online shows Thomas Snow was buried at Sunderland Cemetery(Stockton Road) 25 Aug 1942

Sunderland Ward transcripts shows him as (death 21 Aug 1942) buried at Sunderland Cemetery Ryhope Road Grangetown, Sunderland.

The cemetery is also described as Sunderland, Grangetown on http://www.durham-images.org/

I'm sure they are the same place but what is the correct address and why the differences, it's confused me for a while as most of my maternal line are from the Sunderland area.

I need help please... the names are not easy
I've lost a couple after 1911

Rosina Cook born 1850 Chelsea, daughter of Charles Cook and Mary Ann Gould
She was baptised late, 1864 At St Simeon Zelotes Chelsa.
married Thomas William Vaughan 28 Apr 1870 at St Lukes, Chelsea
I have Thomas and Rosina, in all census through to 1911 in Cross Street Islington  when Rosina is aged 61 and Thomas aged 63. Thomas is a heating and lighting engineer.
They had 2 children
Rose Ada Cook Vaughan 1874-1965 died in Rochford (I have found her and her family)
George Charles Vaughan 1871-?  married 1893 Agnes Maria Dawson 1871-?, daughter 1898 Gladys Rosina Vera Vaughan.. family also lost after 1901

any help is much appreciated

Hi All,

I am trying to find the death of William Richard Townsend, but I'm not having much success.  I have found him in the National  probate index but I'm not 100% sure it's the right man as  I have limited information on him.

William Richard Townsend married Emily Mabel Townsend nee Townsend Sept qtr 1907 Epsom Surrey
son Edward William Maunsell Townsend was born 1908 at Parkstone, Bournemouth
1911 Emily and her son are head of house with her sister Mary Helena Maunsell Langdon in Bexhill, Sussex

Probate for William Richard Langdon...  gives his address as Caius House Bolbrooke Bexhill on sea (different address in Bexhill to the one in 1911)  stating he died 28 November 1917 at sea.  Widow is ETHEL Mabel Townsend. 

Emily Mabel Townsend was born 1878 in Blarney, co Cork, I believe William was possibly a  relative, which would put William's birth in Ireland.  I have found one possible birth -  20 Sep 1878 RD Skibbereen son of William Townsend and Mary Townsend nee Morris - no clue if they were related as I am following Emily's line down via her mother.

Any clues would be appreciated.
