Hi Amanda, great to hear from you, very exciting! What's the best way to get in contact with you - are we allowed to share our email addresses or phone number on this site?
Were you visiting to NZ to meet some of Astley's' descenants or are some living in australia?
The informant on the death certificate may give a clueThanks

Hi Amanda
If you are still looking for this information perhaps it might be best to contact the Gloucestershire Archive direct. They may be able to get someone to check it out for you.
I have just had a look at Gloucestershire Family History Society website and they have a help desk. For a small fee they may be able to assist, I think if you are a member then they do research look ups free of charge. This might be worth a try.
www.gfhs.org.uk go to research there is a form for you to complete.
Hope this helps
Tilly
Unfortunately the archives aren't letting the public access microfilms at the moment. I was there yesterday, and from I was told it seems like this will be the situation for the foreseeable future.Ok, thanks for letting me know, much appreciated.
As you have a date the staff might do this look up for you for around £6 I think.
